What's included in the base price?
- Everything. The per-room monthly subscription includes: Live TV with a free starter channel package, Video on Demand, Electronic Program Guide, PMS Integration (Oracle Opera, Mews, Protel, and more), Guest Services & Room Ordering, Emergency Notifications, AI Concierge (Ellia, 35 languages), Remote Management Dashboard, Automatic Updates, 24/7 Technical Support, and Custom Branding. There are no à la carte charges for individual features.
Are there setup or installation fees?
- No. There are no setup fees, installation fees, or activation charges in the Cloud subscription. The COTT.TV app is deployed remotely on Android TV / Google TV, no on-site technician required. The COTT STB432 is recommended for all installations to unlock the full feature set, and is purchased separately from our Hardware Store with no service fees for installation support.
What about TV channel licensing?
- A free starter channel package is included in the base subscription at no extra cost. This covers essential channels for most European markets. If you need premium or additional channels, they are available from our TV Marketplace with transparent per-channel pricing. You choose which channels to add, there are no mandatory premium bundles.
Do I need to buy Set-Top Boxes?
- It depends on your TV fleet, but the COTT STB432 is recommended for all installations to unlock the full feature set. COTT.TV ships a native Android TV app today, hotels with Android TV / Google TV can run without an STB. Native LG webOS and Samsung Tizen apps are in development; even after they ship, platform restrictions on those Smart TVs (no background watchdog, limited Wi-Fi control, limited volume-key handling) mean the STB432 will remain recommended for full functionality. STBs are available from our Hardware Store.
What Smart TVs are supported?
- COTT.TV runs natively on Android TV / Google TV devices and on any device with a modern web browser. Native LG webOS and Samsung Tizen apps are in development. Because Smart TV platforms restrict native apps from running background services, controlling Wi-Fi reliably, and intercepting volume keys, the COTT STB432 is recommended for LG/Samsung properties, both today and after the native apps ship, to deliver the full feature set with full remote management via HDMI.
Is there a minimum contract period?
- No. COTT.TV Cloud operates on a month-to-month subscription with no minimum contract period. You can cancel at any time. We also offer annual billing with a discount for hotels that prefer it. A 14-day free trial is available to evaluate the platform before committing.
Can I add more channels later?
- Yes. Additional channels can be added at any time from the TV Marketplace in your management dashboard. Channel pricing varies by content provider and is displayed transparently before you commit. You can also remove channels at any time, you only pay for what you use.
Do prices change with room count?
- The base price per room stays the same regardless of property size. For hotel chains and multi-property operators, volume discounts are available, contact our enterprise sales team for a customised quote. Properties with 200+ rooms may qualify for preferred pricing.
