Hotel IPTV explained
Hotel IPTV should be designed around the property, not around a generic equipment list. The correct architecture depends on channel rights, television models, the hotel network, local signal sources and what must continue during an internet interruption.
Hotel IPTV distributes live television and hotel media over an IP network to managed room screens. COTT.TV adds the operating layer around that delivery: country-controlled content rights, room and device administration, a branded guest interface, hotel services and PMS workflows.
The technology becomes straightforward when the decisions are made in the right order.
List the international channels, hotel-owned local sources and any satellite or terrestrial reception. Technical availability and commercial hotel rights are checked separately.
The exact TV model, firmware and hospitality profile determine whether the app runs directly. Consumer or mixed fleets can use the COTT box.
Cloud minimises local infrastructure. On-premise adds local reception, media and middleware when the project needs them.

The quickest route for independent hotels and groups that want central control without a local IPTV server.
Subscriptions start from €10 per active room per month. Compatible hospitality TVs can run the app directly; other screens use a prepared box.
On-premise
A project-specific server can combine middleware, local media and DVB or IP reception inside the property.
Locally received channels can continue during an external internet interruption. Receiver cards, integrations, support and licensing are quoted to the actual project.
A reliable proposal answers these questions in writing, against the equipment and conditions of the real hotel.
Approval must identify the model suffix, firmware and deployment profile, not only the television brand.
The line-up must reflect rights and prices for the hotel’s country. A receivable signal alone is not a commercial hotel licence.
The proposal should state which services continue locally and which still require external connectivity.
Compare platform, screens or boxes, head-end equipment, content licences, integrations, support and replacement cycles over the same period.
