Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the base price?
- The cloud subscription covers the hotel TV platform, live TV/EPG capability, hotel information and guest-service tools, mobile companion and central administration. The starter channel selection depends on the country and rights. Hardware, premium channels, PMS/GRMS connectors, custom integration and on-premise work are separate scopes.
Are there setup or installation fees?
- Standard cloud account setup is €0. Set-top boxes, on-site installation or a project-specific integration may have separate costs, agreed before work starts.
What about TV channel licensing?
- A starter selection can be available without an additional channel fee where rights permit. Premium channels are priced separately by provider and territory; a hotel chooses the channels it wants.
Do I need to buy Set-Top Boxes?
- Not always. Compatible LG, Philips, Vestel and Samsung hospitality TVs can run COTT.TV directly after model and firmware validation. A COTT set-top box is an option for other or mixed TV fleets and is purchased separately.
What Smart TVs are supported?
- COTT.TV supports direct deployment paths for compatible LG hospitality, Philips MediaSuite, Vestel and Samsung Tizen TVs, as well as Android TV and the COTT box. We check the exact model, firmware and hotel mode before rollout. This is not a claim that every model of each brand is certified.
Is there a minimum contract period?
- No. COTT.TV Cloud operates on a month-to-month subscription with no minimum contract period. You can cancel at any time. We also offer annual billing with a discount for hotels that prefer it. A 14-day free trial is available to evaluate the platform before committing.
Can I add more channels later?
- Yes. Additional channels can be added at any time from the TV Marketplace in your management dashboard. Channel pricing varies by content provider and is displayed transparently before you commit. You can also remove channels at any time, you only pay for what you use.
Do prices change with room count?
- The base price per room stays the same regardless of property size. For hotel chains and multi-property operators, volume discounts are available, contact our enterprise sales team for a customised quote. Properties with 200+ rooms may qualify for preferred pricing.
