Hotel video on demand

Video on demand for hotels, with rights defined before delivery.

COTT.TV is designed to present hotel-owned video and licensed on-demand catalogues alongside live television and guest services. Film availability is controlled by territory and commercial agreement, so a hotel sees only content it is entitled to use.

Current product position

The platform is ready; the licensed film catalogue is being introduced by territory.

Hotels can already organise authorised property video inside the guest experience. Commercial film catalogues will be added only where distribution rights, delivery standards and pricing have been agreed. COTT.TV does not claim a universal film library that is available in every country.

Three content routes, one controlled experience.

The source and rights position are established before any title appears on a room screen.

Hotel-owned video

Present welcome films, destination guides, service information and other material that the property owns or is authorised to show.

Licensed catalogues

Add film or programme catalogues supplied by approved distribution partners when rights are available for the hotel country.

Scoped partner integrations

Where a provider has a specific delivery or security workflow, COTT.TV assesses the ingest, DRM and reporting requirements before launch.

Rights and playback stay under control.

On-demand content follows the same property, room, device and country controls as the rest of the COTT.TV platform. Protection is matched to the content owner’s requirements rather than presented as a one-size-fits-all promise.

  • Country and property entitlements
  • Authenticated room and device sessions
  • Encrypted delivery and DRM where required
  • No guest download, recording or offline copy
  • Central suspension and audit visibility

Hotel VoD questions

Does every COTT.TV subscription include a film catalogue?
No. Licensed film availability depends on territory and partner agreements. The catalogue and any related price are confirmed for each deployment.
Can a hotel add its own videos?
Yes, provided the hotel owns the material or has permission to distribute it to guest rooms. COTT.TV can organise that content inside the branded guest interface.
Can guests download or record VoD content?
No. COTT.TV does not provide guest download, offline copy, recording, catch-up or restart functions. Additional DRM and output controls are applied where the content agreement requires them.
How is hotel VoD priced?
Pricing depends on the licensed catalogue, country, room count, delivery method and rights model. It is quoted only after those inputs are known.
