It provides one administration layer for properties, rooms, televisions or set-top boxes, television content, hotel information and guest services. The guest interface may include: - live television and electronic programme information; - hotel information, policies and local points of interest; - restaurant, bar, spa and other service menus; - guest requests and property messages; - Wi-Fi information; - emergency notices; - an AI concierge grounded in property-supplied information; - advertising placements in the menu and targeted messages; - PMS-driven welcome and checkout workflows where the selected PMS and TV platform expose the required interfaces. COTT.TV does not support catch-up, pause, restart, recording or other time-shift television functions. ## Room hardware ### Direct television application Selected hospitality models from LG, Samsung and Philips can run COTT.TV without a separate room device. Compatibility is confirmed against the exact model suffix, firmware and hotel deployment profile. - LG Hospitality: webOS / Pro:Centric HCAP deployment. Technical validation has been completed on an LG 55UK762H bench unit, including application launch, room pairing persistence, television reboot control, OTT launch and checkout credential clearing. Exact project models still require validation. - Samsung Hospitality: a Tizen application package is available. Exact model, certificate profile and deployment method require validation. - Philips MediaSuite: application deployment is available. Exact model, Android version and hotel configuration require validation. - Android TV and Fire TV: application installation is available. Consumer televisions may not provide hotel-mode controls, automatic app launch or automatic clearing of third-party OTT credentials. ### COTT set-top box A preconfigured COTT set-top box provides the managed guest interface on televisions with HDMI. It is the normal route for older consumer televisions and mixed fleets. Hardware specifications may vary by project and content-security requirement. ## Deployment models ### Cloud Cloud deployment is the fastest route where a stable internet connection is available. It does not require a local COTT head-end server when television and hotel services are delivered over IP. Published pricing starts at EUR 10 per room per month. Channel packages and optional hardware can affect the final price. ### On-premise On-premise deployment is designed for hotels that require local satellite, terrestrial, cable or IP reception, local media services, or reduced dependence on the external internet connection. A project may use middleware on customer-provided infrastructure or a COTT all-in-one appliance with receiver cards selected for the final source schedule. Pricing is project-specific. ### Multi-property One commercial account may manage multiple properties. Property-level television administration controls rooms, devices, menu content, information pages, points of sale and the AI concierge knowledge base. ## Television channels and rights Channels are distributed only within the COTT.TV platform. COTT.TV does not provide licensed channels as standalone UDP, RTP, multicast or external application feeds to unrelated hotel-TV systems. Rights and prices are controlled by country. A property can activate only channels available for its territory. Hotels may also add their own authorised local or contracted sources. Channel line-ups therefore vary by location and agreement. Security controls can include authenticated sessions, property and room entitlements, device association, country restrictions, encrypted delivery, DRM where required by the content owner, output protection and central suspension. The final security profile depends on the channel or VoD agreement and endpoint capability. ## PMS and checkout COTT.TV supports property-management integration on a project basis. Experience includes Mews, Apaleo, Cloudbeds, Protel and Opera-related deployments. The exact integration depends on the PMS product, version, enabled API or interface and property workflow. Typical supported outcomes are: - guest name on the welcome screen; - association of the stay with a room; - room and stay details in the guest interface; - checkout reset to a clean landing page; - clearing guest sessions or OTT credentials where the television platform exposes a supported checkout function. No integration should be assumed solely from a PMS brand name; scope is confirmed for each property. ## AI concierge The AI concierge answers guest questions from a property-controlled knowledge base. Hotels supply policies, opening hours, menus, services, local information and other approved documents. The hotel remains responsible for the accuracy and currency of property information. ## Pricing principles - Cloud: from EUR 10 per room per month. - Direct-TV application: no separate room box where the exact hospitality television model is validated. - Set-top boxes: priced separately when required. - On-premise: quoted according to rooms, sources, receivers, server design, PMS and installation scope. - Licensed channels: country-specific pricing according to content-owner rights. - No published minimum number of rooms. ## Content-provider programme COTT.TV works with broadcasters and distributors that want lawful hotel distribution and property-level control. - IP stream ingest and TV Marketplace listing are normally free. - The normal COTT.TV distribution margin is 20 to 35 percent. - Technical onboarding can be chargeable if the provider cannot supply a suitable IP stream. - The provider defines rights, permitted territories and source terms. - COTT.TV controls hotel access by country and reports platform viewing data where agreed and technically available.
